Allegra Bliss Searle-LeBel

An international performance artist based in movement and dance. My work includes performance, artistic research, and building community around creative expression, science, politics, and technology.

Currently serving as National Coordinator for World Space Week in the USA, and encouraging the production of art about outer space.

Some of my many performance works and collaborative projects include Artists with Machine Intelligence, Privacy Art, Stimulate Dance, and Limber Media. I have received recognition and artistic production grants from the Whitney Museum, Google, Inc., Schauspiel Koeln in Germany, the Contemporary Dance Association of Korea, Rothchild Family Foundation, and 4Culture among others.

I have studied dance, choreography, and performance in a variety of scholastic and professional venues including University of California at Berkeley, NYU/Tisch School of the Arts, Technique Acogny at L'Ecole des Sables in Senegal, the Centre Nacional de la Danse in France, and the Skinner Releasing Institute.
